These university-based research centers can provide support through their specialized consultants, expensive and specialized equipment and licensing of intellectual property. University of Nevada, Reno

UNR has more than 60 research centers and facilities, and dozens of state-of-the-art laboratories. The University is also home to the University of Nevada School Of Medicine, where groundbreaking research efforts have been made in several areas of health, including cancer and heart treatments. Nevada’s research enterprise includes the Nevada Terawatt Facility, which houses the most powerful laser on a college campus, one of the most sophisticated large-scale structures laboratories in the country where pioneering earthquake engineering is accomplished, and the most prestigious journal for literature and the environment in the world, ISLE, an Oxford University Press publication which is edited and produced by Nevada faculty members.
