Social Media Content for Customers – MESQUITE

This workshop is designed for small businesses who are currently using social media platforms to consider and discuss, with instructors and attendees, the following:
- Are you attracting new customers? Are you keeping your customer base?
- Are you building valuable relationships or turning people off?
- How do you determine and manage appropriate and effective content?
- How much social media is enough?
- What are the best platforms to use for your business?
- Do’s and Don’ts of social media in your business
Please join us and come prepared to participate in active discussion on social media practices and manners. Share with and learn from others what works, what doesn’t, and why.
NOTE: The Library opens to the public at 10:00 am- attendees for this workshop can enter through the café doors after 8:30 am.

About your Facilitators
Courtney Sweetin became a Nevada SBDC counselor in summer of 2018. She lives and works in Mesquite and has called the beautiful Virgin Valley home for the past seven years. Courtney has an undergraduate degree in education from Brigham Young University and a Master’s in Business Administration from UC Davis. She was a teacher for four years and has worked in education reform in Sacramento, Washington D.C. and Clark County, Nevada. She taught business courses at the College of Southern Nevada before moving to Mesquite where she started her own small business in 2014, a soda and dessert shop called The Splash Pad.
Kathy Carrico has served as the statewide training director for the Nevada Small Business Development Center since 1995 at the University of Nevada, Reno’s College of Business. She works with key community partners and business owners across the State to bring a variety of education and training to Nevada businesses. She is a Master Trainer for entrepreneurial and financial management courses, and has provided hundreds of presentations to business audiences across Nevada. Kathy in engaging and animated with audiences, always focusing on connecting people to people and valuable resources.
