DESCRIPTION:Join the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s (GOED’s) Nevada Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)\, Procurement Outreach Program (POP) and Nevada SBDC to learn more about government/public sector contracting — these virtual presentations\, which are presented at no charge\, are designed for Nevada for-profit businesses\, especially the small businesses*: \n*Any Nevada small business that is — or is not — a member of a chamber of commerce or other business-oriented organization in Nevada\, and that is interested in selling its goods and/or services in the government/public sector is encouraged to attend \nPresenter: Kristan Ingebretsen\, Small Bus. Specialist\, BOR \n\n After a brief Nevada PTAC overview\, learn about BOR\, which operates in 17 western states and buys a variety of products and services\, especially from small businesses with — or without — socioeconomic designations; BOR’s mission is to assist in meeting the increasing water demands of the West\, while protecting the environment and the public’s investment in these BOR structures\n Topics: BOR’s mission and programs; what it buys; its federal govt. small business goals; its forecast and opportunities for businesses; doing business with BOR and other federal govt. agencies; and marketing your business to BOR and other federal govt. agencies\n\n\n“Where’s The Contract” is a no-charge monthly training program designed to put Nevada businesses on the path to securing government contracts and subcontracts and diversifying revenue sources. \nRegarding the Nevada PTAC: This procurement technical assistance center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency. \nRegarding the Nevada SBDC: The Nevada SBDC is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.All services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. He is a Business Banking Development Consultant with US Bank and also a mentor to business owners through SCORE\, a national non-profit organization. Steven enjoys giving back and volunteering in our community through his organization\, Junior Achievements\, Dress for Success\, 3 Square and CRCC. Steven has two young children and started his own company in 2020 focusing on real estate consulting and development.
