We will discuss current employer and employee childcare related issues and gain insight on how your business can help support your employees\, no matter your business size. Research shows that employers who provide family-friendly policies and benefits retain existing talent\, attract new talent\, and experience improved productivity. \nThe Employer Childcare Development Program supports Nevada businesses\, of all sizes\, with a free consultation to take a deep dive into how they support their staff’s family obligations and work/life balance. Let us help you decide which options are right for your business. Using our 5-step process\, we will help you design a plan to support your employees and be competitive in attracting and retaining talent. The program is funded through American Rescue Plan Act. \nPatty West is the Employer Childcare Development Coordinator at the Children’s Cabinet\, helping explore childcare supports and solutions for businesses. Patty has over 23-years of experience in the childcare field\, including family engagement and management. Patty and her husband\, Jeff\, have resided in Nevada for 16 years\, where they raise their two sons. Patty\, a working mom\, has experienced the stress of finding quality care for her two son’s first-hand. She looks forward to the impact the Employer Childcare Development Program will have on businesses\, employees and families in Nevada. \nSince 1985\, The Children’s Cabinet’s mission has been to keep children safe and families together by providing services and resources that address unmet needs through a unique and effective cooperative effort between the private sector and public agencies in Nevada. \n \nThe Nevada SBDC is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
