DESCRIPTION:Join the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s (GOED’s) Nevada Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC)\, Procurement Outreach Program (POP) and the Nevada Small Business Development Center (Nevada SBDC) to learn more about government/public sector contracting — these virtual presentations\, which are presented at no charge\, are designed for Nevada for-profit businesses\, especially the small businesses*: \n*Any Nevada small business that is — or is not — a member of a chamber of commerce or other business-oriented organization in Nevada\, and that is interested in selling its goods and/or services in the government/public sector\, is encouraged to attend  \nThe Nevada PTAC-led webinar by John Rice\, Government Contracts Advisor\, Nevada PTAC\, GOED \n\nAfter an about 10-min. PTAC overview\, the speaker will share publicly-available websites or tools that businesses can access for free. Current federal government contractors\, prospective federal government contractors\, etc.\, glean the sites for valuable business information. Companies gather the data for strategic and other purposes when pursuing lucrative contracts with a variety of government agencies. This specific webinar focuses on the U.S. federal government level. The presenter is a former contracting officer with the federal government\n\n\n“Where’s The Contract” is a no-charge monthly training program designed to put Nevada businesses on the path to securing government contracts and subcontracts and diversifying revenue sources. \nRegarding the Nevada PTAC: This procurement technical assistance center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency. \nRegarding the Nevada SBDC: The Nevada SBDC is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration. All services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis. Reasonable accommodations for persons with mental or physical disabilities will be made if requested at least two weeks in advance.
