DESCRIPTION:Durante este taller\, los participantes aprenderán los fundamentos financieros que necesitan para iniciar y administrar un negocio de manera responsable. Hablaremos sobre la relación entre las finanzas personales y empresariales\, la importancia del crédito y la separación de las cuentas personales y del negocio. También explicaremos de forma sencilla los estados financieros básicos y algunos de los errores que pueden afectar la estabilidad de un negocio. Los participantes conocerán qué información suelen revisar los prestamistas y cómo prepararse mejor antes de solicitar financiamiento. El objetivo es brindar herramientas prácticas que les ayuden a tomar mejores decisiones financieras. \nGustavo Santoyo T. es asesor de desarrollo empresarial en el Nevada Small Business Development Center\, ubicado en UNLV Black Fire Innovation. Trabaja directamente con emprendedores y propietarios de pequeños negocios\, apoyándolos con planificación empresarial\, preparación financiera y acceso a capital. Su enfoque consiste en explicar temas financieros y empresariales de una manera práctica\, clara y accesible\, especialmente para la comunidad hispana. \nDuring this workshop\, participants will learn the financial fundamentals needed to start and manage a business responsibly. We will discuss the connection between personal and business finances\, the importance of credit\, and why personal and business accounts should be kept separate. We will also explain basic financial statements and some of the common mistakes that can affect a business’s financial stability. Participants will learn what lenders generally review and how to better prepare before applying for financing. The goal is to provide practical tools that can help entrepreneurs make better financial decisions. \nGustavo Santoyo T. is a Business Development Advisor with the Nevada Small Business Development Center at UNLV Black Fire Innovation. He works directly with entrepreneurs and small business owners\, assisting them with business planning\, financial preparation\, and access to capital. SUMMARY:From Busy to Profitable: The Math Behind a Sustainable Medical Practice
DESCRIPTION:Know your numbers: visits\, pricing\, and profit targets that drive decisions\n\nThis webinar will focus on helping providers understand exactly what it takes to breakeven\, generate income\, and make informed decisions around pricing and patient volume.\n\n\nDereck Barrett is a business advisor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in business planning\, financing\, and growth strategy. After graduating from the University of Nevada\, Reno\, he began his career in banking sales\, earning national recognition as a top performer. \nIn 2004\, he co-founded and financed his first physical therapy clinic in Southern California. Later he and his wife returned to Reno\, purchased a commercial building and started another physical therapy clinic. Dereck expanded the practice to multiple clinics locations and was the market leader before selling his majority interest. \nWhile expanding the practice\, Dereck became a commercial real estate broker and has worked in that capacity for the last 7yrs. \nHe attributes his life’s professional success to entrepreneurship and sincerely loves helping guide entrepreneurs through the challenges of launching\, financing\, and scaling their companies. \n \nFunded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business\nAdministration. Expect to leave with a sharper vision\, actionable next steps\, and a stronger foundation for your business journey. \n  \nKelli Kelly once sailed away on a tallship\, cooked on dive boats in the Bahamas\, worked her way up through corporate coffee\, and ultimately earned an Associate’s in the Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Organization and Project Management. After moving to Fallon\, Nevada\, Kelli found her calling in local and regional food systems while working at a farm-to-table restaurant. She was inspired to work with local farmers\, ranchers\, and value-added producers to promote sustainable agriculture and advocate for eating seasonally and within the foodshed.
