SUMMARY:Insurance Audits: What Small Business Owners Need to Know
DESCRIPTION:This one-day workshop will prepare small business owners to confidently navigate workers’ compensation and other insurance audits. You will learn about insurance requirements\, how to keep financial records organized\, how to properly respond to an audit\, and the potential consequences of failing to respond. The workshop will also cover possible audit outcomes and recent regulatory changes affecting workers’ compensation\, providing practical guidance to help business owners stay compliant\, avoid unexpected costs\, and better protect their business. \n  \nLuis Caldera has been a resident of Las Vegas for 22 years. He possesses 7 years of expertise in business administration\, bookkeeping\, and business formation. Luis specializes in business entities and licensing\, placing a particular emphasis on construction licensing. Having contributed to the initiation of numerous businesses across diverse sectors\, his dedication lies in assisting small business owners in navigating the often intricate and prolonged journey towards owning and operating a successful business. \n \nFunded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business\nAdministration. DESCRIPTION:How to build policies\, hire the right staff\, create culture\, and turn it into a competitive advantage.\n\nThis webinar will center on building the internal structure of the practice via the policy and procedures\, hiring\, onboarding\, and creating a culture that drives consistency\, retention\, and ultimately growth.\n\n\n\nDereck Barrett is a business advisor and entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience in business planning\, financing\, and growth strategy. After graduating from the University of Nevada\, Reno\, he began his career in banking sales\, earning national recognition as a top performer. \nIn 2004\, he co-founded and financed his first physical therapy clinic in Southern California. Later he and his wife returned to Reno\, purchased a commercial building and started another physical therapy clinic. Dereck expanded the practice to multiple clinics locations and was the market leader before selling his majority interest. \nWhile expanding the practice\, Dereck became a commercial real estate broker and has worked in that capacity for the last 7yrs. \nHe attributes his life’s professional success to entrepreneurship and sincerely loves helping guide entrepreneurs through the challenges of launching\, financing\, and scaling their companies. \n\n \nFunded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business\nAdministration.
