Where’s the Contract? How to do Business with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR), U.S. Dept. of the Interior

Join the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development’s (GOED’s) Nevada Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC), Procurement Outreach Program (POP) and Nevada SBDC to learn more about government/public sector contracting — these virtual presentations, which are presented at no charge, are designed for Nevada for-profit businesses, especially the small businesses*:

*Any Nevada small business that is — or is not — a member of a chamber of commerce or other business-oriented organization in Nevada, and that is interested in selling its goods and/or services in the government/public sector is encouraged to attend

Presenter: Kristan Ingebretsen, Small Bus. Specialist, BOR

  •  After a brief Nevada PTAC overview, learn about BOR, which operates in 17 western states and buys a variety of products and services, especially from small businesses with — or without — socioeconomic designations; BOR’s mission is to assist in meeting the increasing water demands of the West, while protecting the environment and the public’s investment in these BOR structures
  •  Topics: BOR’s mission and programs; what it buys; its federal govt. small business goals; its forecast and opportunities for businesses; doing business with BOR and other federal govt. agencies; and marketing your business to BOR and other federal govt. agencies

“Where’s The Contract” is a no-charge monthly training program designed to put Nevada businesses on the path to securing government contracts and subcontracts and diversifying revenue sources.

Regarding the Nevada PTAC: This procurement technical assistance center is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Defense Logistics Agency.

Regarding the Nevada SBDC: The Nevada SBDC is funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.All services are extended to the public on a non-discriminatory basis.
