A three-week course on small business email, social media, and promotional marketing. There is a $25 fee for this event.
Week 1: 9/20 10:00 AM EMAIL MARKETING: Learn what (and who, where and why) email marketing is, how to build and work within a creative email marketing framework, how to measure your success (and do more of what’s working), how to use email leads for (Meta) Facebook advertising, and the ULTIMATE spam trigger list.
Week 2: 9/27 10:00 AM SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING: Learn how to make the most of your social media, how to determine which channels you should be on, what to post and how to say it, new platform features like :”Reels”, and tips for each of the top social media platforms.
Week 3: 10/4 10:00 AM PROMOTIONAL MARKETING: Learn what promotional marketing is, where and how to create and market your promotion, how to analyze your results to learn, iterate and repeat!
Cherie Edilson is the CEO & Co-Founder of Member Marketplace Inc., a company that creates and manages e-commerce marketplace platforms for communities. Member Marketplace unifies local businesses through an online portal, enabling customers to discover and shop local businesses. As a small business owner herself, Cherie has experience in selling her own products locally and via online outlets, as well as learning from small businesses across the US in helping them sell their products online. In her free time, Cherie stays busy with her husband, four school-age children, and two rambunctious shihtzus Buddy and Lucy.
Eric Nelson has held many roles in the consumer marketing world in the past 12 years: directing and project-managing digital marketing efforts for full-service advertising agencies, advising creative strategy for clients across multiple industries, and teaching master’s-level courses on various marketing topics. Prior to this, Nelson applied his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism as a reporter, designer and copy editor at numerous Iowa-based newspapers. When he’s not behind a desk, he enjoys time with his wife, two young daughters and golden retriever.
