PBC Consulting LLC

PBC Consulting is a Nevada-based media production and consulting firm operating under several trade names, including PodWorx, PodWorx Studios, Livestream Las Vegas, and Vegas Video Coop. Owned by Patrick Reynolds, the business provides podcast production, live streaming, video services, and related creative support for corporate, public, and private clients.

In 2024, Reynolds acquired the business and began a comprehensive review of its operations. With the purchase came a number of legacy agreements with independent contractors and third-party vendors, as well as a business model that was becoming less competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. The existing structure relied heavily on hourly podcast production and informal arrangements with crew members, which limited scalability and profitability as market expectations shifted.

To address these challenges, Reynolds worked closely with the Nevada Small Business Development Center through one-on-one advising. Support focused first on operational stabilization. The SBDC assisted Reynolds in renegotiating contracts with his 1099 crew, including technical directors, producers, and other vendors, aligning compensation and expectations with current market standards. Additional support included guidance on purchasing a business vehicle and referrals to a new bookkeeper and tax professional to strengthen financial management and compliance.

Strategic growth and competitiveness were also central to the advising process. Together, Reynolds and the SBDC developed a new marketing approach that emphasized rebranding and a more visible, front-facing leadership role—something that had not previously existed within the business. This shift supported higher-value client engagement and positioned the company as a premium service provider.

As a result, PodWorx secured a new high-profile client and livestreamed CES, achieving its highest day rate to date and direct access to C-suite-level stakeholders. Reynolds is scheduled to return with this client for CES 2027. His client pipeline has continued to strengthen through both retained relationships and new networking efforts.

Looking ahead, PodWorx is expanding its model to include a public-private partnership, investing underutilized equipment to support training and workforce development. Based on SBDC guidance, Reynolds is also moving forward with plans to add a creative co-working space, responding to industry trends and reduced demand for hourly podcast services.
